How much does it cost to park in the Metra parking lots?: Parking is available daily on a first come, first serve basis for a fee of $1.75 per day. This fee is subject to change without notice. Exact change is required. Metra pay boxes at either station do not dispense change. Payment can be made by dollar bills or coins.

1. Where are the Metra train stations located in Grayslake?: The Lake Street Station is located on Lake Street south of Route 120 and serves Metra's Milwaukee District North line between Chicago and Fox Lake. The Washington Street Station is located on Washington Street west of Lake Street and serves Metra's North Central line between Chicago and Antioch.

2. How do I register for the Metra PrePay Parking Program?: To obtain more information and an application please click here.

3. Can I park overnight at the Grayslake train stations?: Commuters needing to park overnight at either the Lake Street Station or the Washington Street Station must pay the $1.75/day fee in advance at the Grayslake Village Hall, 10 South Seymour Avenue. Please note the fees must be paid prior to parking overnight in either Metra Station parking lot. If you prefer unlimited parking 24 hours a day, please check The Prepay Parking Program

4. Do the Metra stations have assigned parking spaces?: No. The Village's agreement with Metra prohibits the Village from setting spaces aside for permit parking. PrePay Parking is allowed in any space.

7. What is Community Notification?: On the right hand side of the homepage is the option to sign-up for community notification. This option allows for both residents and businesses in the community to be notified of time-sensitive information such as emergencies and other local crises.
