Plow Zones
The Village has a detailed plan for efficient snow and ice removal on dedicated Village streets. Village-maintained streets have been divided into 11 plow zones. The Public Works Department plows three zones, and private contractors plow the remaining eight zones.
The Public Works Department also takes care of certain specially-assigned areas with smaller equipment. These areas include the Hillside Ave. parking lot, Metra parking lots, and downtown parking facilities.
